Research Theme / Background:

The Industrial Safety and Health Law requires business owners to take steps to prevent work-related injuries or deaths so that the health and safety of the workers can be protected and a pleasant working environment can be created.

The Merit Award is for individuals who play a leading role in health and safety activities and who have made major contributions to improving the level of health and safety in a region, organization or related workplace. 29 award winners are selected from throughout the whole of Japan.
