Commencement ceremonies held

The 2017 academic year undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies were held yesterday at Sapporo campus on March 22nd, and at Hakodate campus this morning on March 23rd. A total of 2,585 undergraduates and 1,935 graduates celebrated the conferment of their degrees.
Hokkaido University President Toyoharu Nawa congratulated the graduates in a speech during each of the ceremonies. Takashi Ishiyama, President of the Hokkaido University Alumni Association, had the honor of also presenting a congratulatory address during the first ceremony.
After the ceremony, as the graduates left the Gymnasium, they were welcomed by and were able to celebrate with friends and family. A huge congratulations to all of our graduates!
