Common kitchen item erases wall’s barrier to sound

Oliver Wright from the Faculty of Engineering along with some  South Korean researchers have devised a means of making solid walls virtually transparent to sound.

In a fascinating breakthrough in what will lead to various useful applications across a broad range of professions, the group of researchers have significantly advanced the theory and practice of sound transmission.
