Four new jobs positions at Hokkaido University

Hokkaido University is currently inviting applications for four job positions.
The Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Large-Scale Knowledge Processing Laboratory is currently seeking a Professor specializing in large-scale knowledge processing (machine learning, AI, data mining, etc.) who is able to teach courses and seminars alongside their research. The successful applicant needs to be proficient in both English and Japanese.
The deadline to apply is December 20th, 2018, and the start date for this position is April 1st, 2019 (or as soon as possible after this date).
The Research Faculty of International Media and Communication is currently seeking an Assistant Professor to join either the Division of Public Communication or Division of Journalism. The successful applicant is expected to teach courses, including a foreign language (German or Chinese), and perform other administrative duties.
The deadline to apply is November 2nd, 2018, and the start date for this position is April 1st, 2019.
The Research Faculty of Media and Communication is currently seeking a Specially Appointed Associate Professor or Professor to teach German. The successful applicant is expected to be a native German speaker and be able to teach full-time.
The deadline to apply is November 19th, 2018, and the contract duration will be from April 1st, 2019 to March 31st, 2023.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Laboratory of Pharmacology, is currently seeking an Assistant Professor specializing in the research and education of pharmacology in animals. The successful applicant will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses alongside their research activities. They also need to hold a veterinary license certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan.
The deadline to apply is October 26th, 2018, and the start date for this position is January 1st, 2019.
