At the approximately 19 km mark of the half marathon course, the runners for both women and men courses entered the university’s area for the course’s final part. After running through the main street, they turned left at Dr. Clark Bust in the Central Lawn and headed towards the south gate.  The finish line was located just beyond the gate, Kita 7 Jonishi 5-6 chome. As a countermeasure against transmission of the coronavirus, the course was closed to on-site viewers.

This tournament also serves as a test event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics marathon which is scheduled for the upcoming August in Sapporo.
