On May 23rd, lectures for the Executives Program of the Budget Bureau of Thailand were held at the Global Research Center for Food & Medical Innovation (FMI). This program helps senior executives in government agencies and enterprises, including in the private sectors, with budget management. The representatives visited Hokkaido Prefecture as part of the program.


The program consisted mainly of lectures by Hokkaido University professors. Led by Deputy Director Yaowalux Champeeratana, 95 delegates from various institutions, including the vice presidents of Kasetsart University and Chiangmai University, attended the lectures.


Hokkaido University’s Acting President Masanori Kasahara delivered the welcome speech and introduced Hokkaido University. Professor Yasuo Kobayashi of the Research Faculty of Agriculture then presented on the university’s partnerships with Thai universities and the role of the Thai Liaison Office. Afterwards, Professor Noboru Noguchi, Vice Dean of the Research Faculty of Agriculture, explained some research results related to social implementation and financial resources in Japan. On behalf of the delegates, Secretary General of the National Research Council Sirirurg Songsivilai expressed his gratitude for the lectures.


Especially given the success of the event, the International Affairs Department looks forward to promoting more exchanges with Thailand in the future.
