“Hult Prize Hokkaido University OnCampus Program” is nominated for the “2022 OnCampus Program of the Year Award”, organized by the Hult Prize Foundation. Hult Prize is often dubbed “The Nobel Prize for students”, challenging students to pitch and carry out their entrepreneurial ideas that lead to global change. The on-campus program is managed by Hult Prize at Hokkaido University, a group of students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
“Hokkaido University is proudly among the top 25 universities across the five designated regions worldwide, top four in the East and Southeast Asia region, and the only university selected from Japan,” stated Gaurab Das Mahapatra, the current Campus Director and organizing committee member of Hult Prize at Hokkaido University.
The selection is done on the basis of: overall proficiency of the organizing committee, website functioning, social media presence, branding and marketing of Hult Prize, business development activities before and after the final events, and many other parameters.
“Although this is the first time that Hokkaido University has been nominated at the global stage in “2022 OnCampus Program of the Year Award”, we will strive regularly for such accolades in the coming years,” said Gaurab.
All shortlisted 25 universities are now going through a public voting process to decide further ranking among the universities. Representatives will join the 3-day award event in Nairobi, Kenya, July 1st to 3rd, 2022. The winner will be announced at the closing ceremony on the final day.
