International Graduate Program (IGP) call for the special MEXT scholarship students for October 2023 enrollment

The International Graduate Program (IGP), Graduate School of Life Science, issues a call for the special MEXT scholarship students for October 2023 enrollment.

The IGP is a program for those who wish to pursue graduate studies in the life sciences at Hokkaido University’s Graduate School of Life Science. Last year in 2021, the IGP program was once more accepted as a special recipient of MEXT scholarship.

7 doctoral students

1 master’s student

Application Deadline
Those interested should contact prospective supervisors to discuss their suitability for this scholarship by October 31, 2022. Early action is highly recommended. After a professor agrees to sponsor a student and act as supervisor, application documents should be submitted to the supervisor, who will be subsequently submit them to the IGP administration office by December 2, 2022.

The first step to apply for this scholarship is to find a laboratory that matches applicant’s research goals and contact the professor directly.
