New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at Hokkaido University
Hokkaido University confirmed four new COVID-19 cases among its students during the period between Friday, August 7 and Sunday, August 9, 2020. All four contracted the virus through off-campus activities.
The local Public Health Office has identified no close contacts to one of the above four students within the HU community. Meanwhile, after one of the other three students tested positive for COVID-19, the remaining two were identified as COVID-19 positive close contacts of the former. No further cases linked to them have been reported by the local Public Health Office.
We wish a rapid recovery for the students while committing ourselves to safeguarding our university community from COVID-19 outbreaks.
