New Era of Radiation Therapy to Fight Cancer

We are pleased to announce the publication of “Tackling Global Issues vol. 2 New Era of Radiation Therapy to Fight Cancer.” This series was first published in March 2018 as part of the Hokkaido Universal Campus Initiative (HUCI) which has been selected as a Top Global University Project by the Japanese government.

This issue features the high-precision cancer treatment enabled by Hokkaido University’s real-time tumor-tracking technology and Hitachi’s proton therapy system as well as other on-going research on quantum medical science and engineering. It also showcases a variety of research activities, from anthropology to material science, taking place at the university.
