This seminar is for international researchers (DC, PD), and will be conducted in English.


Come and join I-HoP’s program for international DC and PD researchers, PhD Lunch Talk. We will invite guest speakers from organizations in industry, academia, government, etc. to discuss their careers, life choices, or special topics which may be stimuli for international PhD researchers in Japan. Registration is required because we will provide lunch for all the attendees.

Mr. Jerry Halvorsen

Associate Professor, Sapporo International University

Jerry Halvorsen has lived in Japan for 35 years. He grew up in the Midwest of the United States in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He is the coauthor of Click for Better English (2007 Nan ‘Un Do) and author of Homerun! Team History MLB (2011 Perceptia Press). He is also the past president of the Hokkaido chapter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching and past chairperson of the Hokkaido International School Executive Board.
