Reminder about “Notification of the Accepting Organization”

If you are planning to transfer or enter another university, continue to stay in Japan for a job, or wish to keep residing in Japan for job seeking activity after graduation, you are required to submit “Notification of the Accepting Organization”

Eligibility:

All foreign nationals who have entered Japan, are changing status of residence, or extending their period of stay and have resided legally in Japan for over three months. You can use the electronic notification system to submit this form to Immigration, take it yourself to the local immigration office or alternatively send it by post to the Tokyo Immigration Bureau. When sending by post, you have to send the relevant notification forms with a copy of your Residence Card to the address below.

Please note:

1. You must submit the form within 14 days after the change takes place.

2. If you are not planning to stay in Japan after graduation, you are not required to submit “Notification of the Accepting Organization” (Procedure: return your

residence card at your port of departure)

3. If you are planning to transfer or enter another university or have already found a job in Japan, you are required to submit the “Notification of the accepting

organization- left ・transfer”

4. If you change your visa status to “Designated Activities” for job seeking activity, you are required to submit the “Notification of the accepting organization – left the

organization” first, and submit the “Notification of the accepting organization

5. Transfer” as soon as you find a job.
