Support Office for Female Researchers in Hokkaido University (FResHU) Leadership Workshop for Female Scientists

Event | December 20, 2014

Finished Dec 20 2014

The FResHU Office offers this workshop for young female faculty aspiring to be academic leaders to provide them an opportunity to hone their skills in education and administrative management.

Participants will broaden their perspectives on ways to maximize efficiency and learn about the benefits derived from enhanced organizational, educational, and overall research potential. Participants will also come to understand how all of this impacts their understanding and appreciation of leadership.

Two eminent professors from the University of California, Berkeley, with a wealth of experience imparting skills and instilling confidence in young faculty through their original, tailor-made development programs will guide the sessions. Sessions include practical activities such as how to improve lectures and instruction on academic presentation delivery and research paper writing.

About ten participants from Hokkaido University and ten from various research universities will be selected for the workshop.

We are looking forward to proactive, constructive exchange indicative of women scientists breaking ground and ceilings for generations to come. We all stand to gain and learn a lot from the professors and each other.
