On exhibit for the first time in Hokkaido–The Art of 10 64 – Understanding Vastness !
The JST ERATO Minato Discrete Structure Manipulation System Project exhibit, comes via HU’s Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Computer Science Division and is one of the Strategic Basic Research Programs led by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
The project researches “algorithm technology” that enables mathematical condensation and efficient processing of complicated computations and aims to build a technical platform for processing large-scale practical problems in various fields. More information can be found at their website.
While it has been on display in Tokyo at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation since last year, it will be shown only for a limited time during the Hokkaido University Festival between June 6 – 9 at the main entrance hall of the School of Engineering. Admission is free!
June 6 (Thurs.): 16:00 – 18:00 (pre-opening)
June 7 – June 8: 10:00 – 18:00 (general admission)
June 9: 10:00 – 16:00 (general admission)
