Hokkaido University Main Gate

Located about 10min walk from Sapporo station, the robust 4.5 metre high granite clad pillars of the Main Gate of Hokkaido University have stood since 1939. Whilst being one of many entry points onto the campus, it is the main gate which welcomes hundreds of tourists each and every day.
