Hokkaido University receives the donation of medical masks from HUAP in China (May, 2020)
In March 2020, Hokkaido University Partner (HUP) Li Li (Deputy Chief Doctor, Colorectal Surgery Department, The Third Affiliated Hospital, Harbin Medical University) arranged 3,000 medical masks to be shipped on behalf of the group of seven alumni including his wife and HUP Xiaohui Yuan (Full Professor of School of Computer Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology).
Following the arrival of the packages from Harbin, in May 2020 we received 500 medical masks donated by 2 alumni living in Beijing. Hokkaido University Ambassador Xunlian Wang (Vice President, Dean of Graduate School, China University of Geosciences, Beijing) and HUP Lin Li (Associate Professor, Crystal Structure Laboratory, Institute of Science Research, China University of Geosciences, Beijing) out of their concern of their juniors who might be working hard to proceed their research and study despite the COVID-19 emergency.
The General Affairs Division of HU plans to distribute the medical masks to all administration offices of Faculties/Graduate schools/Schools in HU.

This historical ornament represents the perseverance of the founders in conducting education and research all day and all night.
