Online event organized by Dr. Ruoff, Hokkaido University Ambassador in the United States (April 2021)
Dr. Kenneth J. Ruoff has organized the following event to be held on April 8th, 2021 (Japan Standard Time).
Professor Ken Endo of International Politics, School of Law & Dean of the Graduate School of Public Policy at Hokkaido University will analyze the dominant trends and issues in the contemporary world with a special focus on the dismaying performance of the advanced democracies, the rise of authoritarian regimes, as well as the hegemonic rivalry between China and the United States. Professor Endo will then turn his attention to the implications of a frayed international order for Japan, and consider Japan’s expected international role in these new circumstances. He will conclude with remarks on the potential for Japan-U.S.-Europe cooperation.
