Charles S. Vairappan

Since I graduated from Hokkaido University, I have been actively involved in collaborative research with researchers in the Graduate School of Environmental Earth Science. Because of this connection, it was a natural gesture to accept the suggestion of becoming a HU Ambassador when it was brought to my attention.

I studied Chemical Ecology as a student in HU, and I have been involved in collaborations with researchers and students from HU in my laboratory at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. It gives me great pleasure to be able to share my knowledge and facilitate research activities with colleagues and students from HU. It has been a pleasure to be part of the HU culture of expanding the frontiers in research, education and knowledge, not only at HU but also as a professor at my current university.
