There are a range of on-campus dining and shopping opportunities created for the faculty, staff, and students in the university. The university aims to bring value, convenience, and variety to the entire university community and enhance the quality of life on campus. There are many retail outlets on the Sapporo Campus, most of which are run by the Co-op. Other shops such as convenience stores can also be found throughout the campus MAP.
The University Co-op provides many convenient places for both affiliates and non-affiliates of the university to dine and shop. In addition to food and drinks, stationary items, University-branded clothing and gifts, and many more items can be purchased at these stores. ATMS are also located at these areas.

Original Shop
A shop located in the Information Center Elm Forest, just inside the main gates of the university. Please note that for safety reasons and in consideration for the environment, cars are not normally allowed on campus grounds.
The Original Shop, which is a part of the Information Center, should really be your first destination if you’re looking to buy official Hokkaido University Goods. You can also purchase stationery items and books published by the Hokkaido University Press. It is located on the left-hand side just as you enter the main gate. Come and visit us today!
Cafe de Gohan is also located inside.

Museum Shop
The Hokkaido University Museum’s Museum Shop is located on the first floor adjacent to a café and lounge overlooking a beautiful courtyard. Shop original goods designed by Hokkaido University students and pieces related to the exhibitions and collections within the museum. We look forward to your visit.
Seicomart Convenience Store
There are two convenience store (konbini) chains located inside Sapporo Campus where visitors not only can purchase food and beverages but also Hokkaido University merchandise.
Seicomart is located across the Central Cafeteria, next to the Sakushukotoni River. It is a two-story building that has an information corner on the first floor. Visitors can purchase not only food and beverages but also Hokkaido University merchandise.
The second floor has an indoor and an outdoor dining space where customers can relax while enjoying the campus’ view.
The store is open 24 hours.
7-Eleven School of Engineering Store
The 7-Eleven School of Engineering Store can be found on the ground floor of the Frontier Research in Applied Sciences Building. An ATM machine is installed inside the store. There is a corner dedicated for Hokkaido University official merchandise.
The store is open 7:00-21:00.
