Events

The Departments of Linguistics at Hokkaido University (HU) and Seoul National University (SNU) are pleased to announce  their upcoming  mini-symposium on linguistics, to be held on Friday, 13 June 2025.

This is arranged as a kick-off event to initiate departmental research collaborations based on past communications, yet welcomes students, researchers and staff members in any disciplines who are interested in the topics. Two professors of the universities will showcase their current research projects: “Integrating multi-level perception: the case of Japanese vowel epenthesis” and “a brief overview of the structure of Ainu: phonology, word formation, and syntax.”
