Following the open question-and-answer sessions with the three candidates for the next President and the collection of opinions from within the University, the Hokkaido University Presidential Selection and Monitoring Committee conducted interviews with each candidate. After careful deliberation, on November 10^th, 2025, the Committee selected the next prospective President as follows:
