The Arctic Challenge for Sustainability III (ArCSIII) project supports overseas travel for young researchers, practitioners, and graduate students in Japan who are engaged in Arctic research, as well as travel to Japan by young researchers and graduate students from overseas.

Through this program, ArCSIII provides funding to graduate students and early-career researchers affiliated with Japanese universities and research institutions, as well as young practitioners from public and private organizations.

The support covers:

• Participation in international conferences (for presentations and information gathering)
• Research stays at overseas universities and research institutions
• Fieldwork trips aimed at expanding research networks
