The University was selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) for Program on Open Innovation Platforms for Industry-academia Co-creation (COI-NEXT) in FY 2021, and has been working with about 30 local governments, companies, universities, and other organizations as the Life Design Center for the Mind and the Body.
Additionally, in collaboration with Shiraoi Town and Shikishima Farm Co., Ltd, Next-Generation Wagyu Nexus was selected for the program in FY 2024.
