Hokkaido Summer Institute 2024 will be held！

More than 160 world-leading researchers from overseas will gather at Hokkaido University for the HSI, which was established in 2016 and provides lectures with our university’s faculty members during the summer.

HSI2024 offers 145 courses* (98 graduate level courses and 47 undergraduate level courses) this summer, June – October, 2024.

*About one week for each course.

There are also many courses that non-student can participate in.

The detail information of HSI2024 will be available in early February 2024, and online application (1st) will be started in March.

1^st application period:

Open: March 1 (Fri), 2024, 12:00 JST*

Close: March 11 (Mon), 2024, 17:00 JST*

2^nd application period

Open: April 12 (Fri), 2024, 12:00 JST*

Close: April 22 (Mon), 2024, 17:00 JST*

・Courses starting from July*

*Non-students living in Japan are able to apply for all courses.

*The courses that are full in the first application period cannot be applied for.

3^rd application period

Open: May 31 (Fri), 2024, 12:00 JST*

Close: Jun 7 (Fri), 2024, 17:00 JST*

・Courses starting from August or later

・The courses that are full in the first/second application period cannot be applied for.

*Hokkaido University students do not need to apply online.

During the course registration period for each semester and term, you only need to register for courses in the same way as regular courses.
