HUISA
HUISA (Hokkaido University International Students Association), created to promote the well-being of international students, supports the interaction and understanding between international students at Hokkaido University and the people of Hokkaido. HUISA organizes various activities and provides useful information for international students.
SACLA
SACLA (Sharing all Cultures and Languages Association, and pronounced “SAKURA”) promotes cross-cultural communication and exchanges, and meets regularly on campus. They also organize social events. Please go to their Facebook page for more details, or visit the SACLA website (in Japanese).
Hokkaido University International Women’s Club (IWC)

The Hokkaido University International Women’s Club (IWC) was established in 1982 with the aim of supporting the daily life of international students and researchers of Hokkaido University and their families. As the name suggests, all members are women associated with the university through work or family. Many events and activities are hosted by the club, ranging from bi-annual garage sales for international students to Japanese cultural events. They also host regular Japanese language lessons.
The club is always willing to hear your feedback and welcomes your participation. All events the club run are advertised on their website as well as in the foyer of the Institute for International Collaboration. For detailed information in English, please check out their website.
