On Tuesday, May 13, Campus Clean Day was held on the Sapporo Campus. This annual event brings together faculty, staff, and students to clean the campus with the aim of making it a safer environment and preserving its rich biodiversity of plants and animals.
Under a clear sky and a refreshing spring breeze, President Kiyohiro Houkin kicked off this year’s event with an encouraging message: “I hope you’ll enjoy this cleaning event on our beautiful campus surrounded by blooming spring flowers.”
Students from the School of Agriculture were seen around the Central Lawn and Elm Forest, cheerfully collecting trash and fallen leaves. One student commented with a smile, “It feels so nice out here that I keep expanding my area looking for more to clean!”
