Increasing Coverage of Cervical Screening in Japan
Event | March 26, 2022
The global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer envisages a world where cervical cancer is eliminated as a public health problem by 2099. As part of the global elimination strategy, 70% of women should be screened with a highly sensitive test at least twice in a lifetime. Screening coverage is between 30-40% in Japan and primary HPV testing is not recommended by the Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare. In this Webinar with examples from successful screening programmes in the UK and Malaysia, we look at possible strategies to increase cervical screening coverage in Japan such as nurse-led screening and HPV self-sampling.
Participation is open to all interested persons and institutions.
