Finished Jul 21 2023

As universities attract an increasing number of international students, Japanese Higher Education is experiencing globalization on an unprecedented scale. This shift necessitates clarifying commonly used teaching methods to account for students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Consequently, interaction in an international environment, be it in the classroom, daily life, or during laboratory research, brings new communication challenges. Therefore, knowledge of intercultural communication becomes essential to build better relationships with peers, avoiding common cultural misunderstandings, and supporting effective collaboration across cultures.

This seminar will introduce you to fundamental concepts, principles, and techniques for effective communication with individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
